‘Ahlan Wa Sahlan’ & Welcome to the Friends of Jordan Association

Welcome to our website! The Friends of Jordan Association, recently formed in 2004, is a network of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, current or former Peace Corps staff, and other persons who share a common interest in Jordan.

Friends of Jordan has been busy growing. Our association's goal to support the Jordan Volunteer community by connecting current Volunteers with Returned Volunteers is manifest in the Small Grants Program.

Additionally, Friends of Jordan serves as a community for Returned Volunteers to maintain links and connections with other Volunteers and members. In order to keep us all "in-the-know," the quarterly newsletter Marhabtain, which reaches members worldwide, is electronically distributed. Online forums for connection are also available through Friends of Jordan Gmail discussion group (please note that only members may post material).

This website has everything you need to know about membership with Friends of Jordan. You can read about our goals, learn how to join, see what we are doing, catch up with other Friends of Jordan members, among many other things.

This site is also intended for current and future Jordan Peace Corps Volunteers. Clicking on the “In-Country” tab to the left will link you to information about the country of Jordan, what you need to be prepared for Peace Corps service there, and what current Peace Corps Volunteers experiences are like. And the “Funding” tab links to our Small Grants Program, where current volunteers can download forms and apply for funding for small projects from Friends of Jordan.

Thank you for visiting our website. Please check us out, and if you share our goals, print out a membership form and send it in today. If you have questions that our website doesn’t answer, please contact us at fojordan@friendsofjordan.org.

With Peace/Salamat,

Friends of Jordan Board
