About ~ Membership

Membership provides Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, current or former Peace Corps staff, and other persons who share a common interest in Jordan an arena to collaborate. Connections via the newsletter, website, internet forums, and meetings allow members to support Peace Corps' Third Goal, maintain supportive connections with Jordan, improve professional development, and assist newly returning Peace Corps Volunteers.

Membership in the Friends of Jordan Association grants each member a vote in Association decisions and the opportunity to hold an Officer position. Additionally, each member receives the Newsletter, Marhabtain, access to internet forums, and member directory.

Affiliations

Friends of Jordan is affiliated with the National Peace Corps Association, which is a non-profit organization of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and former or current Peace Corps staff. Membership in the National Peace Corps Association is not necessary as a member of Friends of Jordan.

Friends of Jordan membership is separate and apart from Peace Corps Volunteer status. Friends of Jordan has no formal connection to Peace Corps federal agency.

Joining

You can complete your membership registration online or print out the membership form and enclose a check for $15.00 payable to the “Friends of Jordan Association” for a one year membership or $45 for a 3 year memberhship. If you and another family member wish to join, FOJ has discounted family memberships available.  A one year family memberships costs $25 and a three year membership is $75.

Peace Corps Volunteers who have completed their full two years of service and have recently returned to the United States are eligible for a one-year, complementary membership with the Friends of Jordan Association. To join, please fill out a membership form for recently returned volunteers. If you are also interested in affiliating with the National Peace Corps Association, which provides recently returned volunteers with a free one-year membership as well, check the second option of the application form or fill out the National Peace Corps Association form designating Friends of Jordan as your affiliate group.
